Two very different shoots hide behind the same booking: one where we control every variable, and one where we work with what the day gives us. Choosing between them early makes everything that follows easier, from wardrobe to budget.
The studio wins when consistency matters. Product sets, headshots, catalogue work, anything that has to match across dozens of frames belongs under controlled light. Our Dekwaneh studio is set up for portraits, products, fashion and full content days, and it also hosts the small celebrations people rarely think of as studio work: birthdays, gender reveals and mini events where the backdrop, lighting and setup are all handled for you.
On location wins when the setting is part of the story. That is most couple portraits, every wedding, and any brand shoot where the place sells the idea. Lebanon gives us an unfair advantage here: the coast, the mountains, old Beirut stone and rooftop skylines are all within an hour of each other.
Light is the real difference. In the studio, light is built: shaped, softened and repeatable at 2 pm or 2 am. On location, light is found, and the best of it lasts about an hour a day. That is why outdoor sessions cluster around golden hour, and why we schedule them backwards from sunset.
Budget-wise the studio is usually the simpler day: no travel, no permits, no weather risk. Location work carries more moving parts but delivers frames no backdrop can fake.
There is also a third answer: both. Plenty of our clients shoot products in the studio in the morning and lifestyle content on location in the afternoon, one team, one visual language, one delivery.
